Things to prepare

Dust-free cloth, anhydrous alcohol with a concentration of more than 98%, dust-free cloth cotton swabs, masking paper, new protective lens, hexagonal wrench, protective lens locking tool.

 

Replacement steps

1. Wipe

Moisten the dust-free cloth with alcohol (close the lid of the alcohol bottle in time to avoid accidentally knocking over), and gently wipe around the protective lens with the dust-free cloth. The purpose of this process is to prevent dust from entering the cavity during disassembly.

2. Remove the lens

Use a hex wrench to remove the hex screws, then gently pull out the protective lens insert, and seal the cavity with masking paper to prevent dust from entering. Insert the protective lens locking tool into the hole on the back of the protective lens card, rotate counterclockwise to remove the protective lens, and then insert the block to pour the lens onto a dust-free cloth.

3. Clean

Gently wipe the inside of the protective lens insert with a lint-free cloth face to clean it.

4. Replace the lens

Take out the new protective lens, tear off the protective paper on one side, and then gently cover the protective lens insert on the protective lens, turn it over, and then tear off the protective paper on the other side of the lens, and install the pressing sheet and the locking ring in turn. Use the protective lens locking tool to lock the insert clockwise.

5. Installation

Tear off the textured paper, gently insert the protective lens insert into the cavity, and tighten the hexagonal screws.

Fiber laser engraver have very wide application on metal and some non-metal material engraving. Metal material like stainless steel, mild steel, brass, aluminum. Non-metal material like ABS, PVC, Rubber and many color coated product.

When we want to buy fiber laser engraver, some suppliers recommend their machine to us directly. Even they don’t know our detail application and request. To be honest, really this is not a good supplier. They just want to sold their machine, not think about problems in our side.

In this case, how to select one suitable fiber laser engraver for ourselves?

Working size

Fiber laser engraver have three common working size, including 110*110mm ; 200*200mm; 300*300mm.

Additional there is some non-common working size like 50*50mm;70*70mm; 150*150mm; 175*175mm; 250*250mm.

Different working size have different focus length, it means large working size have longer focus length. The laser power strength will be weak heavily during transfer. so not all laser power could use all working size.

20w laser power, working size should less than 200*200mm, 110*110mm is the most common.

30w laser power, all working size are ok.

50w laser power, all working size are ok.

Engraving request

We have many different marking request for metal material, marking, deep engraving and gold&silver cutting.

20w laser power: marking

30w laser power: marking, deep engraving and gold&silver cutting

50w laser power; deep engraving and gold&silver cutting

50w fiber laser engraver is not common as its cost is much more higher than 20w and 30w. Usually we use it gold and silver cutting.

Also when we need do deep engraving or cutting, only 110*110mm working size or less is available.

In China market, Germany IPG and China Raycus laser source is reliable and stable. As for other small brand, we don’t recommend you use it.

First,chemical reaction.

The gas can blow off the slag by air and clean the cutting seam.

Last but most important, protect the lens.

Normally, O2 ( Oxygen) , N (Nitrogen) and Compressed Air will be used.

Their functions are as following.

First, N: Nitrogen is used for cutting nonferrrous metal. Such as Stainless Steel and Aluminum sheet. The gas can cool and protect the material. As such materials are easy to be blackened with Oxygen.So use Nitrogen can avoid this phenomenon of going black. It can be used to cut

aluminum alloy, stainless steel, galvanized steel sheet, brass.

Second, O2: Oxygen is used in cutting Carbon Steel and stainless steel. As there is many Carbonaceous impurities in carbon steel. So use O2 can greatly increase the combusting speed. Which as well, accelerating cutting speed. However, there is a disadvantage, the cutting surface will be black.

Third, Compressed Air: It can be provided by Air Compressor, the price is very low. Although there is about 20% Oxygen in air. The cutting efficiency is far less than Oxygen.It nearly same as Nitrogen’s efficiency.The cutting surface appears yellow. It can be used to cut aluminum, aluminum alloy, stainless steel, galvanized steel sheet, nonmetal, etc.
